Australia is a land that time forgot, what with all the creepy and strange creatures that are already indigenous to the land down under. And that includes some of the worlds most venomous creatures. But someone didn’t think they had enough and tried to send a box from Northern Europe labeled “Two Pair Shoes” to Australia. During the X-ray of the box they didn’t find shoes, but they found things that might to live in your shoes. They found:
- Three ball pythons, also known as royal pythons
- Two hognose snakes
- Six vipers, identified as Wagler’s temple vipers— a venomous pitviper species native to South-East Asia
- Two Colombian giant tarantulas
- Five Mexican redknee tarantulas
- Two Brazilian salmon pink tarantulas— considered to be the third-largest tarantula in the world
- Four Asian forest scorpions
