I’ve never really been one who is scared of flying, but this is one of those things that I now will probably always think about when getting on a plane. Hopefully the pilot flying my plane, will be having a better day!
An Italian pilot has been suspended and is undergoing psychiatric evaluation after allegedly threatening to crash his passenger jet if his wife left him. Apparently the dispute was happening over text, and after she threatened to leave him even after he said he would commit suicide, he upped the ante. The pilot then allegedly said he would not only kill himself, but the 200 passengers on the plane with him. According to the story, the wife alerted officials and they were able to replace the pilot before takeoff.
