Ever since I first heard this band, they would leave me thinking ‘Woah, what was that?’ after every song. And they did it again. first time hearing this track while watching the video, and it’s definitely gonna leave you “hot and cold.”
Frontman Johnny Stevens told Noisey:
“I’ve spent the past five years living in Bed-Stuy, N.Y. and I will always consider Brooklyn a home base, but more recently I’ve been spending all of my free time in Los Angeles. It’s so new to me, strange; hopeful. On the surface the song is about moving to California but that’s really just a metaphor. Life is changing. I’m leaving my twenties and I want to head towards the sun so to speak. Done a lot of growing in this past year and all I’ve learned is that there is so much more to learn. We filmed the snowy scenes on my roof during the blizzard we just had in New York, and the desert parts were shot in Joshua Tree, Calif.”
