Yes, this is another child actor that decides to be a singer. Buuuuuttttttt I’m actually impressed by what he plays!
Let me rephrase that, because it’s not like a Disney-star-gone-pop kinda thing. Gaten Matarazzo, also known as Dustin in Stranger Things, is 15 years old and just formed a band called Work In Progress. To show the world what he and the rest of his six-piece rock band have got… they “debuted” a cover of “Porch” by Pearl Jam to their Instagram a few days ago.
According to Alternative Press, he’s not the only “Stranger Things” actor with some pipes:
Dustin’s Season 2 BFF Steve Harrington aka Joe Keery was in the psych rock band Post Animal. Plus, Finn Wolfhard fronts a band called Calpurnia and recently joined SWMRS onstage for an epic performance earlier this year.
Not to mention, Noah Schnapp joinedPanic! At The Disco onstage back in March for “LA Devotee,” which he happened to star in the music video for as well. And Caleb McLaughlin, aka Lucas, stars in Sia’s new music video, “Santa’s Coming For Us.”
