And now for something completely different!
Between the Nashville Predators going to the Stanley Cup Finals and the tragic losses of multiple musical icons, there has been so much going on that this story must have kind of slipped under the radar. Nevertheless, for space lovers like myself, this new footage of Jupiter taken by the Juno spacecraft is the closest we’ll ever get to actually seeing the gas giant in person!
According to NASA.gov, the video is compiled from footage taken by Juno on its 5th science orbit, which took place last Friday, May 19th. The Juno mission, which was launched in 2011 and entered Jupiter’s orbit last year, has helped us to understand the inner workings of the largest planet in our solar system.
The video is epic, so be sure to check it out below!
