The Revivalists have announced their Summer Tour 2019, hitting Nashville on August 28. The chart-topping New Orleans eight-piece’s soulful alt-rock anthems translate into a live firepower complete with soaring pedal steel guitar, pounding percussion, irresistible horns and charismatic frontman David Shaw’s undeniable voice.
The band’s latest single “Change” recently spent two weeks at #1 at Triple A Radio, the third Mediabase #1 in a row at the format for the band following Top 5 Alternative hit single "All My Friends" and platinum-selling “Wish I Knew You.” The band recently unveiled the music video for “Change” which was filmed at Meow Wolf’s mind-bending House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe where not all is what it seems. The Revivalists’ have been selling out shows on their U.S. headlining tour which is currently underway in support of their new studio album Take Good Care, out now via Loma Vista Recordings. Following their biggest sell-out to date at Red Rocks, a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (PRESS HERE to watch), and two sold-out nights at NYC’s historic Beacon Theatre, The Revivalists will tape an episode of Austin City Limits on April 9th and will play an epic hometown set at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 26th.
The Revivalists had been grinding for 10 years when their now platinum-selling single “Wish I Knew You” took off. The new album Take Good Care captures the whirlwind that ensued, from celebratory anthems to cathartic moments and their most personal songs yet. On the anti-gun violence anthem “Shoot You Down,” The Revivalists speak out against the overwhelming gun violence problem in our society. The band released a now sold-out limited vinyl of “Shoot You Down” benefitting Everytown, and spoke to Salon about the message behind the song.
