25 years ago, one of the most defining albums in the Seattle grunge movement was released when Stone Temple Pilots finished up on their debut album Core. The sound of such classics as “Sex Type Thing” and “Plush” helped introduce the world to the up-and-coming genre, and the album joined other greats such as Nirvana’s Nevermind and Pearl Jam’s Ten to establish its mainstay in the rock scene.
On September 29th, STP and grunge fans alike will be able to check out the 25th anniversary re-release of Core, featuring remastered versions of the classic hits and live performances, including excerpts from STP’s MTV Unplugged session.
Be sure to check out an interview that guitarist Dean DeLeo gave Loudwire regarding the album at the link below, and you can pre-order the album at the band’s website StoneTemplePilots.com!
