Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger says being recognized everywhere he goes can be a pain in the ass.
According to Vice, in a recent interview, he explained that while his bandmates can blend into the background a little easier, being the face of the band means he rarely gets to turn off the celebrity switch. Even a simple trip to the store can turn into a conversation about the band and its next tour. He admits fame has its perks, but sometimes he just wants to be a regular dude buying his stuff in peace.
Honestly, Nashville is pretty good about this. We see famous people out and about all the time, and for the most part, we know the assignment: you see someone famous? Cool. Let them live their damn life. No awkward interruptions, no demanding a photo… just let them buy their groceries in peace.
