What Did the ‘Kitchen of the Future’ Look Like in the 1970’s?

It’s safe to say that back in the day, they didn’t necessarily have a very realistic idea of what the future would look like.

For example, in the ’70s, engineers basically dreamed up somewhat of a lazy Susan house, specifically, in the kitchen

On an episode of BBC’s “Tomorrow’s World”, they hyped up a revolving kitchen where you could push it around and the counters, appliances and even whatever you’re serving was able to spin around with modular cabinets and clunky proto-electronics.

It was definitely a pretty space-age fantasy of a kitchen that practically did everything but the dishes and, while not many of us have kitchens big enough for that kind of technology, it was kind of genius.
