Last week, we received an email from Stacey about Dede and her son Kayden. Stacey works in a school and has gotten to know Dede and Kayden pretty well, and after receiving an email from Dede, she turned to Idiots for Underdogs for some help. Last year, Kayden had to switch schools because of some terrible instances of bullying. Then, out of nowhere, Kayden had a medical issue, needed surgery and has been out of school since earlier in the year. Naturally, Dede had to miss time at work to care for Kayden, and as a result, she was laid off. Dede sent an email to Stacey asking for help as a last resort. This seemed like a great place for Idiots for Underdogs to step in.
This morning, we got Stacey on the phone to let her know that Idiots for Underdogs would be dropping a check for $5,000 in the mail to help out Dede and Kayden. If you missed that moment on the show this morning, you can watch it below!
