Well, this is rich. The Fyre Festival brand, that dumpster fire of an event, just sold for a whopping $245,300 on eBay. Apparently, Billy McFarland, the guy behind the whole glorious mess, decided to auction off the festival’s name, trademarks, and social media accounts like some kind of weird yard sale for bad ideas. He teased the return of Fyre Festival earlier in 2025, but it fell through. Can’t imagine why!!
In case you forgot, McFarland still owes just a casual $26 million in restitution after the absolute chaos that was Fyre Fest 2017. You know, the one hyped by influencers and models pretending it was going to be Coachella in paradise… until bands bailed, guests were stranded, and the luxury meals turned out to be sad cheese sandwiches tossed into styrofoam containers.
Iconic disaster. Now someone owns the rights to it. What could possibly go wrong this time? Loudwire has more of the story HERE.
