Americans React to Tariffs’ Impact on Economy

A recent survey of 2,000 U.S. adults revealed that over a quarter believe the economy will never return to pre-tariff levels. With 29% convinced of a permanent shift due to tariffs, most anticipate a recovery to take at least 19 months. The survey, conducted by Talker Research for UserTesting, found that 51% feel adequately informed about tariff effects on their daily lives. Many have experienced price hikes in groceries (70%), restaurants (46%), and gas (40%) this year. As a result, Americans are reconsidering their spending habits, with some opting for second-hand shopping and accepting lower quality products.
