If you go to a show and not at least LOOK at the merch table, then did you even go to the show?
Turns out rock and metal fans are the most passionate about supporting their favorite bands by buying merch. Custom Ink surveyed 1,000 music listeners, both men and women, multiple generations, and rock fans bought the most merch over any other genre.
According to the survey, the metal band with the most merch sales is Iron Maiden, and the rock band with the most merch sales is Arctic Monkeys. Other bands at the top of the list are Slipknot, Misfits, and Pantera. Most of these are black t-shirts. That’s an educated guess, but also pointed out on the survey that metal fans, in fact, obviously go for black t-shirts.
