Jenny Boyd — the twice former wife of Mick Fleetwood and former sister-in-law of both George Harrison and Eric Clapton — will be a featured presenter at this year's Metro Fest For Beatles Fans, taking place Friday through Sunday, February 9th through 11th. She'll be promoting her latest book, “Icons of Rock — In Their Own Words,” a revision of her 2014 publication “Musicians in Tune,” which was inspired by her dissertation for a Ph. D. in Humanities.
The book includes conversations with scores of musicians, including those mentioned above as well as Don Henley, Joni Mitchell, Graham Nash, Ringo Starr and many more. The Mitchell interview, in fact, is one of those newly transcribed for “Icons of Rock,” and Boyd tells us that it's one she's particularly proud of:
“I definitely have my ones that stick in my head that I think are amazing, like Joni Mitchell, her interview, and she's a storyteller and she couldn’t help herself. I couldn't put the whole thing in 'cause there was so much, but she was the storyteller and that's what she started the interview with — 'I was the storyteller.' It still inspired me. It still…like, 'God, this is so amazing.'” :31
