KennyHoopla has been one of my favorite new artists for a few years now. There’s just something about the raw and real artistry of Kenny that reminds me of what I loved about rock n roll from when I first started listening to it. His first big release dropped at a time when he couldn’t tour and I remember thinking to myself, I really hope this dude doesn’t go away. Luckily for me, and all of us, Kenny is a fighter in every sense of the word and when the time was right, he hit the road and showed us all what he was here for. “You Needed A Hit” dropped on Friday and already we are realizing it wasn’t just a hit we needed, it was THIS hit. I had said a few days ago we should bring back “songs of the summer” and just like that KennyHoopla may have just given us just that. Here’s to the summer smash of 2023.
