Kentucky Fried Chicken, yes that KFC, in Australia has apologized for a commercial that some are calling sexist and even going as far as to say its “a regression to tired and archaic stereotypes where young women are sexually objectified for male pleasure.” The ad shows a woman checking herself out and adjusting her outfit in the reflection of the window of a parked car. The window slowly rolls down to show two young, open-mouthed boys staring at her, while a mom looks unhappy in the background. The woman looks startled before she says, “Did someone say KFC?” KFC has since apologized about the ad. “We apologize if anyone was offended by our latest commercial. Our intention was not to stereotype women and young boys in a negative light,” a spokesperson for KFC said. Side note: I like how they also apologized about making young men look like pervs. As a former young man, I can honestly say-WE ARE! Its just science. We have a bunch of hormones running through our veins and are discovering the joy of sex. If a woman was checking herself out in my car window at age 14-YOU BETTER BELIEVE I would be checking her out too! Those breasts look amazing…and her boobs don’t look to bad either! walka-walka-walka
Ya’d think from some of the comments online this is the worst thing happening in the “Land Down Under.” If you haven’t been paying attention to the news…its not! KFC did apologize, but hasn’t said whether or not they’ll continue running the ad. Check it out below, just not with any adolescents around-YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!
