This was an interesting morning to read the news, and most involved some crazy animal story. The first one was about the coyote that was discovered in the bathroom at The Music City Center on Sunday by an employee. No. It wasn’t Oliver Ekman-Larsson showing up early before the game against the Preds on February 5th. No, It was an actual coyote that somehow snuck past security. According to WSMV Channel 4 News “The coyote ran past a security checkpoint at 7th Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard around 10:20 p.m. The coyote then entered the area where the Nashville Boat Show was being held and went into an exhibit hall where employees were working. The group was able to corral the coyote into a bathroom by rolling down a gate.” Then there was the story of the Python in Australia that was covered with 500 TICKS! I had no idea that ticks would attach to snakes. Yeah, there’s a pic below, and the story of Nike the Python is here. And then there was Isaias Garcia from Texas who was charged with kidnapping a man in southwest Connecticut and taking him to a hotel room where he made the man call his aunt and tell her he needed $800 to be freed. Mr. Garcia threatened to burn the kidnapped man if he didn’t get the money. The aunt and the young mans father went to the police, who told them to have the abductor send a picture of the victim for proof. They sent a pic alright. The picture had an alligator on the young man’s back while he was face down in the bathtub. There was a recording of the young man saying “They got this alligator on me and they saying that if no money is given, they are gonna have him chewing on me.” The kidnappers were caught. Cause, well they were stupid. The rest of that story is here.

Central Precinct Officer Brenna Hosey says a coyote that had gotten into a Music City Center restroom Sun night was just scared. Using catch poles, Hosey & Metro Animal Control led the coyote to Hosey's police car. She drove her passenger to a wooded area and safely released it. pic.twitter.com/YIDWi3x5iz
