Nuclear Blast RecordsTwo bands featuring Mastodon‘s Troy Sanders have dropped new music.
First, we have a long-awaited new track from Killer Be Killed, featuring Sanders, Soulfly‘s Max Cavalera, Greg Puciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Converge drummer Ben Koller. The song is called “Deconstructing Self-Destruction,” and is the first preview of the upcoming Killer Be Killed sophomore album, Reluctant Hero, the follow-up to the group’s 2014 self-titled debut.
Reluctant Hero is due out November 20.
Additionally, Gone Is Gone — which includes Sanders, Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, At the Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar and multi-instrumentalist Mike Zarin — has released a fresh cut called “Sometimes I Feel.”
“Sometimes I Feel” follows the song “Everything Is Wonderfall,” which premiered in July. The debut Gone Is Gone album, Echolocation, was released in 2017.
Mastodon, meanwhile, will release a new rarities compilation called Medium Rarities on September 11.
