Credit: Leah SteigerHalestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale has been named the host of the upcoming third season of the AXS TV show, A Year in Music.
In each episode, Hale will dive into a specific year, and explore how it was shaped by what was going on in music at the time. Years that Hale will profile include 1986, 1996, 1998, 2001 and 2008.
“Music is a true passion of mine, and I have always been intrigued by how it so perfectly reflects the social and historical happenings of the time in which it is created,” says Hale.
“Hosting A Year in Music is a dream come true for me, as it allows me to both discuss and learn about music’s impact on history and then share that knowledge with music lovers across the world,” she adds. “I am grateful to AXS TV for this incredible opportunity and I cannot wait for it to air!”
A Year in Music marks Hale’s first TV hosting gig. It’ll premiere on Sunday, October 4.
