You know the drill. You’ve done it several times. You hit the bar(hard), then ya hit Taco Bell. I’ve even had a Uber driver take me through the drive-thru after a long night. Now, take all those preconceived images of Taco Bell and throw them out! Starting in a few select locations the drive-thru will be going bye-bye and we’ll be saying “Hello” to a bar! You read that right…a bar in a Taco Bell! The restaurants won’t have drive-thru windows but will offer beer, wine, sangria, and slushies with tequila, rum or vodka. The “urban in-line” stores also will feature open kitchens and digital menu boards. Most of the locations will be situated in big cities like Detroit, Pittsburgh, Nashville and New York. Taco Bell already has several other cantina locations in the U.S. including one in Las Vegas, where they offered $600 wedding packages. You know, so you can get drunk, eat something your body will reject the next day and then make a bad life decision like getting married at 3am.
The video below is a example of what they’ll look like. Just guessing here, but I could see one on Lower Broadway in the very near future.
