I don’t think there should ever be an age limit on trick or treating, but the deputy mayor of a northern New Brunswick city says a Halloween bylaw that banned trick-or-treating for teens over the age of 14 and set a 7 p.m. curfew for anyone in costume don’t go far enough. She actually wanted to abolish the by law all together. The new rules are expected to pass a third reading and make trick or treating illegal for anyone over 16 and have a curfew at 8pm. The new rules say that anyone 16 years or older caught out in costume or with “a facial disguise” out after the imposed curfew can face a fine of $200.oo. What is this? The city of Sombertown? You know the town where the Burgermeister made Christmas and the having of Christmas toys illegal?
