Local Buzz Cut Of The Week: Sin Shake Sin

Local Buzz Cut this week is from Sin Shake Sin with the track Trendsetter.

In the last 2 years, Stacy Hogan has written 10 major label songs for other artists across multiple genres, including 2 Billboard Top 10 Hard Rock singles. After licensing music for multiple TV shows & commercials as well as winning multiple songwriting awards in 2013, he decided to begin his very own rock project, Sin Shake Sin.

He plays all the instruments, writes the songs, sings, records, produces and mixes the project himself.

Sin Shake Sin is a fresh new experience in indie/alt Rock. The lyrics are fun, raw, anthemic, relatable, but also historically and socially conscious, politically critical, and most of all inspiring for those who look around and want more for their generation (and the next). The music is a bold and unique mix of industrial rock with underlying pop sensibilities, textures and rhythms. The beats are swampy and infectious.

The sound is as if Nine Inch Nails, Awolnation, Muse, and the White Stripes took the music director of HBO's True Blood, moved to a swamp in the south and recorded a super catchy "pop/rock electro-swamp" album.  Part of Stacy's unique sound is that he uses an eight string electric guitar to achieve his ultra low dirty swampy sound.

The concept - It's about awareness.  Intelligence.  The power of information vs. the power of misinformation. Celebrating who we are as well as who we are not.   It's about having the strength to stand up for what you believe in - big or small.

His previous rock project, Lovers and Liars, was signed to Universal Republic in 2010.

He has worked as a studio musician for Grand Ole Opry legends and now writes and produces for artists around the world.

Stacy's productions have recently won:
The John Lennon Award, 2012 ASA Award International, Songdoor Grand Prize, Songwriter Universe #1, Dallas Songwriters Association Grand Prize, Song of the Year Award, Show Me The Music, U.K. Song Prize, Great American Song Contest, Nashville's Music City Mayhem Award, and more.

Stacy most recently won the 2013 Hollywood Music in Media Award for his co-write with Debra Gussin on the song "Do U Miss The Heat?".

He has performed as a musician with Grammy-Award winning artist Linda Davis, as well as shared the stage with Lady Antebellum, Shinedown, Seether, Finger Eleven, Emmylou Harris, Saving Abel, 10 Years, Hurt, Candlebox, Cavo, Hoobastank, Framing Hanley, Thriving Ivory, Hawthorne Heights, Fuel, Civil Twilight, Theory of a Deadman, Black Stone Cherry, Eve 6, VAST, and more.
