You can’t knock the Tuba! it’s a very misunderstood instrument. It’s the bass of the band. You know, holding down the rhythm along with the drums. The Kansas City Symphony just set a new Guinness World Book record for the largest Tuba ensemble. 835 Tuba players just beat the old record of 502! That’s a lot of bottom end! And you can’t forget something coming up in Nashville, tomorrow, The Tuba Christmas. There’s a 9 city tour of this wonderful Christmas tradition, and they play in Nashville on Tuesday at First Baptist Church, 108 7th Ave at 11 with another performance at 12:30. For a complete list of dates and cities here’s a link.
