It was on this day in 1981 that MTV was born and was the first 24-hour music channel. Somebody turning 37 years old shouldn’t be looking rough at that age, but considering how it looks now versus back then… only a slight difference. We don’t get music videos anymore. We get pregnant teenagers. And Snooki. RIP, MTV.
The first music videos to air 37 years ago were “Video Killed The Radio Star,” “You Better Run,” “She Won’t Dance With Me,” and “Rockin’ The Paradise” just to name a few.
