To say that UFC superstar has a history of controversy is a massive understatement. He has made his career running his mouth to all of his rivals and backing it up in the octagon. But while he always seemed like he was on the verge of becoming unhinged with his scare tactics, nobody could have predicted what happened at the Barclays Center on Thursday…
After a media event, McGregor and a bunch of goons and teammates attacked a bus carrying rival fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov and other UFC contenders. McGregor and his group threw trash cans, chairs, and even a giant road barrier at the bus, smashing two of its windows and injuring Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg.
The whole thing was caught in multiple videos, and McGregor turned himself in to the NYPD. He’s now facing multiple charges of assault, menace, and mischief. McGregor has been released on a $50,000 bail, but will have to return to New York for a second hearing, and could face a year in prison.
