Slash and Myles Kennedy are together once again. The Guns N’ Roses guitarist and Alter Bridge vocalist have confirmed they are working on Slash’s new solo album, backed by Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators. The upcoming disc will mark Slash’s third solo collection.
The as-yet-untitled release will mark Slash’s follow-up to 2014’s “World on Fire,” which featured the chart toppers “Bent to Fly” and the album’s title track.
“I’m excited about the new stuff we put together for this next record; it’s got some cool songs and it’s got a great live feel.” Slash said in a statement. “I’ve been working with Myles, Brent and Todd for about eight years now. It’s been an amazing ride so far; as a band we continue to get better which is great. With the addition of Frank since the ‘World on Fire’ tour, I feel we have hit a great, creative stride which I definitely think shows on this next record.”
That’s not all. Slash and his band will also embark on a North American tour this fall to promote the new album. More details on the run will drop later this year. Before then, Slash will keep busy on a summer European tour with Guns N’ Roses. Meanwhile, Myles Kennedy just released his debut solo album, “Year of the Tiger,” and is touring to promote that new release. Catch Kennedy live at The Cowan May 12th.
