Weirdly enough, Wisconsinite (sure, why not) Jeremy J. Van Ert made no attempts to escape after being locked inside a beer cooler in his local Kwik Trip in Marshfield.
Van Ert went in to grab a cold one, but was completely unaware that the doors to the beer cave automatically lock at midnight. So, finding himself locked in with cases of various booze, he decided to set up camp and make the best of his situation!
When he was finally set free at 6 the next morning, Van Ert beelined for the door, having downed an 18-ounce of Icehouse beer and 3 cans of Four Loco. He also managed to knock over and bust open three 30-packs of Busch at some point in his sleepover.
Van Ert is currently facing a $170 fine and restitution for Kwik Trip, but hey, we’ve all dreamed of getting to live in paradise, even if just for a night.
