Read that again. It says “checks” not “chugs” which is what I would have done if they said I couldn’t carry my unopened beer with me on the plane. This story is also not from the USA (where in a land of freedom you do not have the freedom to carry an unopened beer with you). Nope, this story comes from Australia. The passenger, we’ll call him Dan cause that’s his name, was travelling to Perth from Melbourne on Qantas. Not sure if they have the same “nothing bigger than 3 oz” rule there too or not, but I’d love to go down under and find out! So the story goes my man checks his beer cause he couldn’t carry it on(whether it was out of spite or a goof we don’t know) and said beer arrives at his destination not only unharmed…but first! It came out ahead of everything. So apparently the baggage guys also realized it was some pretty precious cargo and needed to get to its rightful owner ASAP!
