The United States celebrated its Independence recently. Also recently, an artist in Georgia made quite the tribute with little army toy soldiers. Painting the little green men red,white and blue-Greg Smith of LaGrange-used his toy soldiers in a symbolical nod to the armed service members who defend the nation’s freedom. This was no small task either! Not only did Greg(who himself served in Army and Navy) use 10,000 army men making the 5 ft by 3 ft flag, He didn’t fully realize what he was setting himself up for. “I didn’t know what I was getting into,” he said of the year-long project that he pieced together in his spare time. “It’s amazing how it turned out.”
