If you’re one of the estimated 284,000 people who will be in downtown Nashville Tuesday night for the 4th of July celebration there are some new rules you need to know about:
Starting this year backpacks, luggage and coolers are NOT permitted. To make up for no coolers you will be able to purchase 2 hot dogs for 3 dollars and bottled water for only a buck. You CAN bring in personal umbrellas, collapsible chairs, blankets and bags smaller than 16 by 10 by 4.
This year the main stage will be relocated from Riverfront to 5th and Broadway, with the Nashville Symphony playing at Ascend Ampitheater and large viewing screens will be up as well.
Entry points will be limited to 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Avenues at Demonbreun and Commerce.
The fireworks show will start at 9:30 pm but you better get there way earlier! Have fun!
