Index and pinky fingers up, both middle and ring fingers down, and thumb extended. That hand gesture.
Gene Simmons wants his “horns” sign trademarked, but the question is, is it really even his?? Hollywood Reporter says he went to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to file a trademark and is currently awaiting to see the ruling.
According to Loudwire,
Simmons could face some challenges. The hand gesture with the “sign of the devil horns” dates back to the 5th Century BC founder of Buddhism. And there are other artists who have flashed a similar sign, including John Lennon on a cover photo of the Beatles single “Yellow Submarine / Eleanor Rigby” back in 1966.
There’s your history lesson for the day. Read more of the story from Loudwire here.
