Bush added themselves to a long list of artists who have paid homage to Chris Cornell, the late lead singer of Soundgarden/Audioslave, at Rock on the Range this weekend. This may be one of the coolest-sounding tribute performances I’ve heard thus far; it’s pretty cool to hear Gavin Rossdale lead the transition from a nearly acapella refrain from “Black Hole Sun” straight into REM’s “The One I Love” to thunderous applause.
In the midst of such a heavy blow to the rock community, it’s refreshing to see that Chris Cornell may be gone, but his influence and dedication to his craft still live through all the music he gave us.
Rock on Brother, and Rest in Peace
