There’s an upcoming flick that’s guaranteed to tug at the heartstrings of pooch lovers, A Dog’s Purpose, but after some pretty disturbing footage on the set of the flick, PETA is now asking people to boycott the film. You don’t say……..
Actually, the footage from TMZ is pretty concerning, as they show a blatantly afraid German Shepherd being forced into raging waters. See a couple photos from TMZ’s Twitter, or there’s a link to the video in the Tweet. I must say, it could be a tad disturbing for some, so view at your own risk.

Unfortunately, once you mention the name PETA, it causes uproar, but I could see this being an issue whether the organization was involved or not.
Even Josh Gad, a voice actor in the film, says that he was honored to be a part of the film until he saw the video. He wrote on his official Twitter,
“…Today I saw a disturbing video that appears to show to show a scared German Shepherd being forced to perform a stunt on the set of this film. While I do not know all the details and cannot speak to the level of care and caution that went into this moment (as I was never on set for making this film), I am shaken and sad to see any animal put in a situation against its will.”
