Not the words you want to hear from the one guy who is supposed to be sure which way to go…
As a passenger on an airplane, I’m glad I can’t hear what goes on in the cockpit. Why? Because of things like this! First off, every little beep and/or alarm would probably send me into a panic attack thinking this was the end. Secondly, a conversation like this would have me filling my pants like a 2 year old after burrito night.
An air traffic controller said to a pilot… I’m not sure which way to go…
Can you imagine being that pilot?
This was as the plane was getting ready to land too! Which along with taking off, is the most important time for an air traffic controller to know which way to direct planes!
The report said planes did get closer than normal and this could have led to a disaster, but someone was able to step in and remedy the situation before anything go too serious. Although, I would still keep this in the “too serious for me” column.
