I know what you’re thinking…what’s with the quotes. Last year it was announced that Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day would be making his big screen debut as a lead actor in a movie called “Geezer.” Its a story about Armstrong who stars as Perry, a former rocker-turned-family man stunted in his everyday life. His wife has forgotten his 40th birthday, his daughter questions him about his true occupation and family have doubts about his motivations. The frustration sets in until his brother provides him with the opportunity to throw a major birthday bash to recapture some of his past glory.
Well, they changed the title to “Ordinary World” and hence the quotes. Also, we now have a trailer for it! The film stars Selma Blair, Judy Greer, Fred Armisen, Brian Baumgardner, Chris Messina and more and it’s set to arrive on Oct. 17. The film will screen in select theaters and will also arrive on DVD the same day.In addition to starring in the film, Armstrong wrote four original songs for the movie. One track, “Ordinary World,” will also appear on Green Day’s Revolution Radio album. The Revolution Radio disc drops on Oct. 7.
