Zigz did a story the other day about a woman who was tired of someone stealing her coffee creamer from the work fridge, so she decided the best way to get the person back was to fill the container with her breast milk. Did that gross you out? I mean, it is all natural though right? Well now scientist say there’s a new kind of milk you should drink and it’s way better for you. But, would you drink it, if it came from a cockroach? Seems the Pacific beetle cockroach delivers offspring that are fully formed and alive when born, rather than incubating in an egg. Scientist found that the roach produces a surprisingly protein-rich substance containing more than three times the caloric energy of buffalo milk. In addition to its high protein content, the liquid was also incredibly stable and had a mechanism for controlled nutrient release. Because of this, the researchers believe that, if successfully synthesized, cockroach milk could be a sustainable superfood of the future. Now…..would you pour this over your cereal in the morning? Read on more about the nutritional benefits from the roach milk from VICE!
