That super awkward moment when you’re in a famous rock band, and you get mistaken for another super famous rock band when you’re asked to sign autographs.
Don’t you just hate it when that happens?
Such a thing sounds unlikely, but it actually happened to the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Belarus…where they apparently need to brush up on their rock band knowledge.
The band was in Belarus at an airport when customs asked them to sign autographs. Fine and dandy, but…excuse me, this is Metallica merchandise?!
Flea posted a photo on his official Instagram page with the caption, “We were called into customs officials office at an airport in Belarus and they asked us to sign a bunch of Metallica cd’s and photos. We tried to explain to them that we weren’t Metallica but they insisted that we sign anyway. They had the power. Well I did play fight fire with with with Metallica once. I love Metallica anyways but I’m no Robert Trujillo.”
I love how they just insisted that they sign the damn merchandise anyway. Look how it says “FLEA :)” on the group picture of Metallica. Haha!!
