News like this really brings into perspective on how long it’s been since 9/11, yet it still sits fresh in our memory.
I remember posting about this four-legged little girl during September 11th of this past year. When she turned 16 years old, she was given one hell of a well-deserved doggy birthday. (See it on my blog HERE.)
“Bretagne” is said to be the last-known living search and rescue dog of 9/11. Although she was rewarded with a long, happy life, she was laid to rest Monday morning.
Just like every American hero, she was given a hero’s farewell. CNN has the story here, including more of her efforts in the 9/11 attacks.
