Officer In Trouble After Slamming Student To The Ground In South Carolina Classroom (Video)

This Columbia, South Carolina student allegedly refused to leave an Algebra class when asked by the teacher because she was being disruptive.  The school resource officer, a deputy with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department was called in to assist.  He approached the 16-year-old student and asked her to leave.  She refused.  He then forcibly removed the student from her desk by flipping it over, then dragging her across the floor and handcuffing her.

Since the video was posted, the officer has been placed on unpaid administrative leave and banned from entering the school, as well as surrounding schools.  The FBI is investigating the incident.
