Most people have the idea that their favorite “rock stars” only listen to “rock/heavy/RAAAAWWWWWRRR! music, but you’d really be surprised what most have on their top play list. Like Leigh Katkay, front man for Pop Evil.
He does list that some of his favorite current rock songs at this moment include Shinedown’s latest “Cut The Cord,” Breaking Benjamin’s “Angels Fall,” Bring Me The Horizon’s “Happy Song,” Awolnation’s “Run” and Muse’s “Reapers.”
“This song just brings pure, raw energy that I’ve missed from Muse,” Kakaty says of “Reapers.” “Killer job.”
Kakaty also includes a few songs from alternative artists in his playlist, including Elle King‘s “Ex’s & Oh’s,”The Neighbourhood‘s “R.I.P. 2 My Youth” and Silversun Pickups‘ “Nightlight.”
Up, Pop Evil’s fourth major label album, is available now.
