Crime fighting tech just took a hit from Muse front man Matt Bellamy during their performance at this years Download Festival. Matt was none to happy about Leicestershire police using facial recognition scanners to force scan each festival goers face in a trial of new counter-crime procedures. Leicestershire police say that images were compared to a database of criminals who target music festivals across Europe. I’m sure none of the 90,000 attendees had no idea that this was happening. Has science fiction come to fruation? How would you feel if your face were scanned while going to any of the shows here in Nashville? Check out Matt going off on the Bobbies during an appropriate song, “Uprising.”
