Former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese has found himself in some serious legal trouble in Texas. An arrest warrant was issued in September 2014 on charges of possession and manufacture of a controlled substance.

The Denton County Crime Stoppers website states that the warrant dates back to Sept. 26, 2014. Alternative Nation researched the warrant, and determined the drummer was apparently charged with possession of a controlled substance for an amount under 28 grams. That’s deemed a Class A Misdemeanor with a punishment that could range up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.

There’s also a second charge for “Manufacture or delivery of substance” that’s a first degree felony. The punishment range is anywhere from 5 years to life in prison. The Denton County Crime Stoppers state on their tip page that those with information leading to the arrest of the drummer could earn up to $1,000 cash reward.

Abbruzzese took over for drummer Matt Chamberlain in Pearl Jam in 1991 and was around for the monster success that accompanied the band’s breakout Ten album. He appeared on the band’s successful 1993 follow-up Vs. as well as their 1994 disc Vitalogy, but was fired from the band prior to the Vitalogy album release.
