It’s taken them four decades, but Van Halen are finally releasing a live album with David Lee Roth at the helm. Tokyo Dome Live In Concert, taped June 21st, 2013 in Japan, will be released on March 31st. It will be available as two CD’s, a four-LP set on 180-gram vinyl and via digital outlets.
As the great Joe Dirt once said “Van Halen, Not Van Haggar,” but in all seriousness, purist will no doubt be ecstatic to hear David Lee Roth’s vocals roaring over EVH’s riffs for the first time on a live album. Check out the full story courtesy of Rolling Stone here.
