A 16-year-old male Coffee County Central High School student is facing charges in the killing of a bobcat out of season that was hanged Tuesday from the practice field goalpost at Tullahoma High School. The juvenile will face a maximum $50 fine and court costs for killing a bobcat out of season, but is not being charged with hanging the dead animal from the goalpost and TWRA is not sure at this time who is responsible for that.

As of last Thursday, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) announced a $2,500 reward  for information leading to the identification of the person or persons responsible for killing and hanging the bobcat.

Coffee County Central High School’s Red Raiders and the Tullahoma High School Wildcats are scheduled to play in the 89th annual Coffee Pot football game at 7 p.m. Friday in Wilkins Stadium.
